Niko is a character appearing in Season 3 of Killjoys. She is portrayed by singer and actress Viktoria Modesta.
Biography
Niko is a lethal Hackmod surgeon with killer legs and a secret crusade.[1]
Niko was a scientist who ran into some financial difficulties with the wrong people her home planet. They brought her debt and that meant buying her too. The sent her to The Factory, where they took her leg so that she couldn't run and replaced her eye with a camera so they could record all her research.[2]
Niko owns and runs Livio Surgical Spa, practicing cosmetic surgery as a front for her skinner activities. She experimented with Green Plasma, first to see if it would grow her leg back, then realized that spraying it on freshly skinned dermis that it keeps the skin alive and supple between the hosts.
Niko exacts her revenge for what happened to her by killing Hackmod owners and skinning them for use in her illegal skin morphing tech lab. The man that brought her was the first person she skinned.
She sells the procedure to Hackmods and others who then impersonate their owners or employers and steal their money. Her customers get enough money to start a new life in a colony at the end of the J Star Cluster while Niko takes the rest to keep funding her fight against Hackmod owners and traffickers.
Johnny and Olli were able to break up her operation while Havigan called the repos to deal with her.
